About Our Music School
Persatuan Kesenian Swaralaya Sangeetha Kalalayam , popularly known as Kalalayam was founded in Ipoh in 2006. Over the years, Kalalayam has established itself as a premiere institution of teaching and performing Indian Classical Carnatic music, Bharathanatyam and Instruments worldwide.
Kalalayam faithfully adheres to the musical tradition inherited through the Trinity and passed on by dedicated musical exponents in Malaysia.
The first music school in Perak was established by this association in the name of Kalalayam at First Garden, Ipoh and grandly launched by Tan Sri S Veerasingam in 2013.

BHARATHANATYAM PROJECT 2019
In Collaboration with Malaysia Hindu Sangam
An upcoming mega production of Swaralaya Sangeetha Kalalayam in colaboration with Malaysia Hindu Sangam in aid of Sri Jegannathar Ashram building fund. A full swing of conceptual Bharathanatya items choreographed by Dr Panbarasi to be performed along with SSK senior dancers together with the narration and vocal support by 'Innisai Vaani' Kanimozhi Govindasamy. This event will be held at Kandaswamy Kalamandapam, Brickfields, KL on 2nd March 2019 (Saturday) at 7pm. Please be invited!
