Academic & Profession

• Panbarasi is a lecturer at Civil Engineering Department of Polytechnic Ungku Omar, Ipoh

​

• She has invented a modified permeability apparatus for soil testing and was highlighted in newspapers, Minnal FM and ASTRO Vizhutugal Talk Show 2012.

​

• Panbarasi has completed her PhD in Civil Engineering at UKM under the scholarship of Ministry of Education Malaysia.

​

Music Background (INDIA)

• Completed Carnatic Vocal and Violin Graduation in INDIA under the tutelage of the renowned Palakkad Sisters, Guru Shrimathi Nandini Sankar and Guru Shree P.S Ramanathan in 2005.

​

• Completed Bharathanatyam Arangetram in INDIA 2010 under Kalaimamani Shrimathi Indra Rajan.

​

• Panbarasi is the recipient of the 1992 National Gold Medal awarded by Works Minister, Dato Seri S.Samy Vellu for the Thirumurai Recital Competition and for Thivya Prabantham Competition in 1997 organized by Malaysia Hindu Sangam.

​

• Performed PANMAALAI-THIRUMURAI KATCHERI (1 hour programme) broadcasted in ASTRO 2008, ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ song in ASTRO for AR Rahman’s programme 2009.

​

• Performed in First World Tamil Economic Conference 2009 and Stella Maris College in INDIA (2009&2010), Isai Katcheri at Bharathiyaar Illam in Triplicane, Chennai and invited to give concert by Tamilmozhi Academy under the patronage of Ms.Thilagavathy IPS .

​

• Panbarasi has also performed in ‘Taka Thimi Ta’ Bharathanatyam programme hosted and aired in Jaya TV, India.

​

• Interviewed in Vizhutugal Talk Show aired live in ASTRO 2008 and 2011.

​

• Performed Bharathanatyam at Tamil Nadu Music University, INDIA with maestro Kalaimamani Shrimathi Indira Rajan for India Music Festival 2010.

​

• Panbarasi is appointed as a Judge for National Thirumurai Competition and National Thivya Prabantham Recital Competition organized by Malaysia Hindu Sangam since 2010.

​

• In 2011, Panbarasi performed Bharathanatyam Jugalbandhi with International well known Kathak dancer from Bangalore, Shri Tushar Bhatt.

​

• Panbarasi has performed 1 hour Thirumurai Bharathanatyam in International Thirumurai Conference 2012 and International Bharathanatyam Conference in 2012.

​

• Panbarasi is a nationwide-trainer for the judges of National Thirumurai Competitions organized by Malaysia Hindu Sangam.
